European Countries Join to Form Renewable Energy Agency
The first International Renewable Energy agency is on the cusp of creation in the form of IRENA. The goal of this organization is to help countries that want to begin development of renewable energy programs by offering technical, financial, and policy expertise on the subjects. The announcement came from the organization’s leaders, Germany, Spain, and Denmark, who want to be the first agency that is able to address local, national, and international energy needs, not only for developed nations, but developing ones as well. IRENA is sure to close the gap in coming years between renewable energy agencies, and the fossil and nuclear energy agencies.
