In the current state of the world, we more often hear about national parks whose space is being infringed upon, or endangered species who are being ignored, rather than those that are being protected. So it's a breath of fresh air to find out the Canadian government is expanding one of its most cherished national parks to be 6 times its current size. The Nahanni National Park is located in the Northwest Territories, and if the bill proposed by the government is passed, the park will grow to be more than 30,000 square km (around 2/3 the size of Switzerland). The project is proposed in part to protect the South Nahanni River from any possible hydro-electric development, but also to protect the grizzly bears, caribou, and alpine sheep and goats that live in the area. Hopefully the bill can be passed, and Canada can have another beautiful untouchable landscape to keep as their own.Have you got some information you would like
