I originally saw this story being covered at TreeHugger, but being a big fan of Vice Magazine, and their online TV channel VBS.tv, I decided to check out the 12 part series titled “Garbage Island” as part of their “Toxic Series”. I could recap what I learned from watching the movie, but it is far better to watch it yourself – video of part 1 after the cut. (warning: does include explicit language)
