St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner which, for many of us, may result in consuming more alcohol than usual. But before you wake up on Sunday with a head full of regrets, did you ever stop to consider the health benefits of your favourite poison?

While we would never condone binge drinking, it’s interesting how a pint of the dark, or paler stuff can actually do good; like unclogging arteries, strengthen the bones and even be a great skin conditioner… when consumed in moderate quantities of course.
The Guinness poster ads of the 30’s once stated it ‘makes you strong’ – despite the lack of scientific evidence at the time, it looks like they weren’t joking.
