2009 Clean Tech Open: Green Business Idea Competition
by Ian Andrew • March 23, 2009 • Business • 0 Comments

A great opportunity for clean tech start-ups is returning this year, and it’s giving green entrepreneurs the chance to win more than $1 million in prizes. Ever since the economic downturn, start-ups have found it incredibly difficult to find funding for their projects, no matter how brilliant they are, but with the Clean Tech Open, these great ideas can be given the credit (and money) they deserve. The contest prides itself on allowing any idea to be considered to move on to the next round – “no matter how wacky or unproven”. The challenge put forth by the Clean Tech Open is to come up with an idea which would create 100,000 new green jobs over the next 5 years. If anyone reading this has a good idea, be sure to sign up for the Clean Tech Open before May 30, which is branching out beyond just California this year. Click here to see where to apply.
