Intel came in first due to its purchase of 1.3 billion kilowatt hours (enough to compensate for 47% of the company’s total energy use). 2nd is PepsiCo who bought 1.1 billion kilowatt hours to make up for 100% of its total energy use. 3rd place is the U.S. Air Force who bought 9 million kilowatt hours. Wells Fargo came in fourth after purchasing 5.5 million kilowatt hours from wind turbines, and fifth place goes to Whole Foods, who purchased enough green energy to cover 100% of their energy use.
