As if Brad Pitt didn’t have enough eco-work on his plate between narrating e2 and working with the Make It Right NOLA Foundation building sustainable homes in New Orleans, he has now helped build an LEED certified building for Missouri’s Drury University.

As if Brad Pitt didn’t have enough eco-work on his plate between narrating e2 and working with the Make It Right NOLA Foundation building sustainable homes in New Orleans, he has now helped build an LEED certified building for Missouri’s Drury University. Brad, along with his brother Doug Pitt, donated $600,000 in their father’s name to the campus’ new O’Reilly Family Event Center. The event center will serve as an arena with 65,000 square feet in total and will be able to seat 3,100 people. It will be the first Gold LEED certified arena in the country thanks to its low-flow water fixtures, recycling center, and solar reflective roof. Although the court will be named after William A. Pitt, the rest of the arena is dedicated to the O’Reilly family for their $6 million donation to the building’s construction. Kudos to the Pitt family for believing in environmentally friendly and community oriented causes.
